Grey Power Secures Players’ Championship
TORONTO, November 19, 2008 – Insight Sports announced today that Grey Power has been awarded title sponsorship of the Players’ Championship, the eighth and final event of the Capital One Grand Slam of Curling series. As the property’s title sponsor, the annual joint men’s and women’s event has been renamed the Grey Power Players’ Championship. The 2009 Grey Power Players’ Championship is scheduled to take place from April 14-19 at the Crystal Centre in Grande Prairie, Alta. As the official television broadcaster of the Capital One Grand Slam of Curling, CBC will air the event’s quarterfinals live on CBC Television on Saturday, November 15 at 3:00 p.m. ET. Later that evening, CBC’s digital channel bold will air live coverage of the tournament’s semi-finals, beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET.
