Martin and Ferbey Showdown for New West Title Source: CurlingZone Staff
Kevin Martin, and his reigning World Championship team of John Morris, Marc Kennedy and Ben Hebert of Edmonton, Alberta came away with a 7-3 win in a battle with provincial rival Randy Ferbey in the final of the PriceWaterhouseCoopers Westcoast Curling Classic in New Westminster, BC.
Ferbey opened with two points in the first end, but Martin came back with three in the second end and then stole four more in the fourth end to blow the game open. A lead of five for Martin, who is nearly unbeatable with that kind of advantage, allowed “The Bear” to continue his recent dominance over the Ferbey foursome, also from Edmonton.
Martin has now won 4 straight Tour matches over Ferbey, and makes it seven in a row overall when you include the three wins over Ferbey during last year’s Alberta Provincial Championship. -- Click to Read More |
