| The World's best teams, as part of the Grand Slam of Curling are coming to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to showcase their skills at the Masters of Curling, and you are invited you to be part of the excitement at the Credit Union Centre from January 23 to 27, 2008. In 2001, the event debuted in Wainwright, Alberta to great fanfare, with Wayne Middaugh capturing the first title. In 2004 in Hamilton, Ontario, Kevin Martin engineered one of the greatest comebacks ever. After a disastrous first end which saw Martin drop five points to Jeff Stoughton, Martin battled his way back to capture the title by stealing the final end. In 2005, Wayne Middaugh and his newly formed rink with Peter Corner continued their early season domination, defeating Glenn Howard in a semifinal, and then dispatched Saskatchewan's Pat Simmons in the final in the first year of the event taking place in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia. Last Year, in Waterloo, Ontario, Glenn Howard put everyone on notice, with his win over Randy Ferbey in the Championship Final, afterwards dominating the playdowns circuit and capturing a World Championship title. 18 of the World's best teams coming to Saskatoon in January.
